‘EKSPEDISI OASE’ TO IMPROVE STUDENT’S COOPERATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SCIENTIFIC WRITING SKILLSS OF SCIENCE

Abstract

This study aims at improving cooperation, knowledge, and Scientific Writing Skillss (SWS) through the Ekspedisi Oase. This Research was conducted from March to April in academic year 2016/2017. The subjects of the study were students of class VIIIB of SMP Negeri 22 Surakarta. The data were collected through observation of learning process and test of learning achievement of the knowledge domain. The instruments consisted of the observation sheet of student’s cooperation, the evaluation sheet of SWS, and knowledge learning achievement test. The study took place in two cycles referred to the Kemmis and Taggart models. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result showed that cooperation skillss on pre-cycle was 51.72%, in cycle 1 increased to 62.07%, and in cycle 2 increased to 82.76%. The achievement of knowledge of learning outcomes on pre-cycle was 48.27%, in cycle 1 increased to 51.72%, and in cycle 2 to 79.31%. The achievement of SWS in pre-cycle was 41,37%, in cycle 1 SWS through card game description increased to 65,51%, and in cycle 2 became 82,76%. While in SWS through experiment reporting in cycle 1 reached 58,62%, and in cycle 2 became to 75,86%. This research concludes that the cooperation skillss, knowledge, and SWS of VIIIB students of SMPN 22 Surakarta in the academic year 2016/2017 can be improve by ekspedisi oase.
