Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peran komunikasi nonverbal ibu dalam mendukung kesiapan sekolah anak, khususnya dalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan kebebasan belajar sesuai minat dan bakat dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya transisi PAUD ke SD yang menyenangkan. Menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan pre- dan posttest, penelitian melibatkan 20 ibu dengan anak usia 6–7 tahun yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Intervensi berupa delapan sesi pelatihan komunikasi nonverbal, masing-masing berlangsung 60–90 menit, mencakup teori dan praktik. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, dan wawancara menggunakan School Readiness Questionnaire yang mencakup dimensi kemandirian, kontrol impuls, keterampilan sosial, serta kesehatan mental dan emosional. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kesiapan sekolah anak setelah pelatihan. Ibu melaporkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dan perubahan positif pada perilaku anak. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya komunikasi nonverbal sebagai alat pendukung kesiapan sekolah anak, dengan rekomendasi program pelatihan bagi orang tua dan guru untuk memperkuat keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan anak.
